April Snow Showers

April is a busy month for us! We have visitors three out of the four weekends, and are hosting a baby shower for a good friend on the fourth. We love having family and friends visit. It is so fun having the people we love meet miss Quinn and see our lives out here in Colorado. Kyle recently went on a fly fishing trip his work sent him on. Remember a couple blogs ago when I mentioned how he was on spring break... I am starting to wonder what kind of job he has...! Anyway, he had a great time on his fishing trip learning the techniques and camping with the guys. It was a nice R&R for him, he has been busy working his regular job and extra shifts in Denver occasionally as well.
We just recently found out that we will all be spending part of the summer in Texas! We are very excited for a few reasons, in no particular order. 1. It is helpful for Kyle's career. 2. It gives Quinn and I a good excuse to go shopping for summer clothes, although it will be so hot there we probably won't want to wear clothes... 3. We will spend a lot time with family. Quinn will be at such a fun age and we are really looking forward to her meeting the cousins and Aunts and Uncles and having that time around everyone. 4. Kyle has friends down there so it will be nice to see them. 5. The grandparents adore all their grandkids and I am sure it will not be hard to convince them to hang out with Quinn for an evening so Kyle and I can go on a 'first' date. :)
I titled the blog April snow showers. I wish I could say spring showers... the weather here is kind of crazy. About a week ago it snowed 4 inches. Today it is supposed to be 72 and sunny and then Sunday it says it will snow again. I can't keep up. I do love some variety, but this is going to make it even harder for us to adjust to the Texas weather...
Okay, I left the best part of the blog for last, a baby update. Maybe that is a biased mother's opinion :) She is changing so fast! She lost her belly button finally. I think they make such strict timelines on those things just to give new moms more anxiety then they already have.... She is sleeping more and more consistently at night. Last night she slept for six hours straight?!?! How did we get so lucky? We are both good sleepers so I am hoping it continues to rub off on her. She has more hair than most one year olds. She has outgrown her newborn outfits which actually makes me sad. She really loves her baths. And my favorite, she is smiling on purpose now. It melts my heart and I love it so much.
 Found her foot!
 In LOVE with her dimples!

I really want one of these sleep sacks for myself. I love how she sleeps with her fists up near her face like that. She was over being swaddled after a week of being home. Probably earlier than that actually, but that is finally when her momma got them memo :)

Can't wait for Dan and Kristen's baby to arrive!
Haha, she loves her bathtime!! Good thing she isn't old enough to get mad at me for posting embarrassing pictures. :)
