Birthday Love

Today was my 28th birthday and I couldn't have asked for anything more. I find that birthdays are a good time for self reflection and to look back on happenings of the past year.  I can say this one has been the happiest of my life so far. From moving, to vacations, marriage, new jobs, new friendships, and Quinn. So here is how we celebrate. Friday we went out to dinner with some great friends, Dan and Kristen. I had a margarita, chips and salsa, chips and guacamole, carne asada, and bananas foster. Don't judge. They made our guacamole and bananas foster table side, which was entertaining to watch. Quinn, the party animal, slept through the entire celebration. I am very thankful to have such awesome friends here to enjoy birthdays, pregnancy, decorating, and new babies with. Kyle let me sleep an extra long time last night while he took care of Quinn which was very nice. This morning we had breakfast in bed, sushi for lunch, and went on a beautiful 4 mile hike. Such a perfect way to spend my a day that brings me one step closer to my geriatric years. A shout out to my father in law who shares the same birthday as me. Such a fun thing to celebrate together, hopefully next year we can make it to New Orleans like we wanted to this year :) Thank you to everyone that made me feel so special on my birthday!
