Memorial Weekend

Kyle had to work Friday night, so Quinn and I took a nap and then we were going to go visit him for dinner. I fed her, changed her, got her dressed, let Ruprick out, closed up the house and packed everything up to be on our way. It's not just pick up and leave the house business anymore. When I left it was sunny. I drove five miles and all the sudden it was a complete down pour. Now, I'm from the NW and really any amount of rain, or any weather for that matter, doesn't stop us from anything, let alone going for a drive. But, this was the worst I had ever been in. I called Kyle and said I don't think we are going to make it, it doesn't feel safe and it looked even worse in the direction towards the hospital. We turned around and as soon as I get home I get an emergency text message of a flash flood warning in our area. It was a fun storm to be at home for, glad we didn't keep going because they closed roads and had flood sirens going off. Crazy Colorado weather.
Saturday we ran some errands and had our friends Shane and Maggie over for a BBQ which was really fun.
Sunday we really didn't do much. We went and got cold stone and drove around the Colorado Springs area and just listened to music and looked at houses.
Lots of deer out and about.

Monday funday! Kierra our awesome babysitter came over for a few hours while Kyle and I went downtown for dinner and a few drinks.
I love how comfortable Quinn is with her sitter.
Of course we missed Quinn so we had to go to the Irish pub downtown called Jack Quinn. The bartender was from Ireland and said she gets a free beer on her 21st birthday ;-)
Happy about the beer in about 20 years and 9 months now.
That owl is a regular photobomber I've noticed...
These two cutie pies
'Do me a solid and pass the remote Mom' - I'm pretty sure that's what she was thinking. And of course the owl is in on the action.
Loved spending this laid back Memorial weekend with my family. Thankful to all those who serve our country!
