We had a laid back Christmas with just us three musketeers in Colorado. Quinn tried to eat all the wrapping paper and Ruprick enjoyed sleeping under the tree like every other year. I personally love traditions, so it was fun being able to start and continue some for our little family.
Quinn is almost 11 months old!!! Yikes! I really can't wrap my head around that. I've been doing first birthday party planning and may have gotten a little teary eyed several times when I really think about it. I just can't believe my baby is going to be ONE! She's at such a fun age right now. Starting to learn how to do so many new things like wave and say mama. She still loves to dance and swing of course.... Who doesn't.
Kyle has been gone for a few weeks and Quinn and I have managed not to burn the place down. I may have regressed back to some old bachelorette ways, but don't worry, nothing crazy. I'm a responsible mom now ya'll! In former years I would have been using paper towels as toilet paper and picked my outfit for the day off the floor. I've since matured and am down to one of those. I'll let you guess which one....
We are anxiously waiting to hear (hopefully in late February) where we are headed to next! We do love Colorado, but I also am feeling the itch to move. It'll definitely a contender for a settling down location in the future though.
While I've been planning Quinn's birthday party, I thought it would be super sweet if I made her cake. I've never really enjoyed baking a ton but thought it couldn't be too hard right?
Happy first birthday Quinn 🎂🎈🎉 haha. Here is the start to your three layer ombré cake with buttercream frosting.... I think I'll keep the DIY'ing to a few decorations. And I'm blaming the caketastrophie on the altitude ;-)
